Activities are plentiful in
the middle of the Karri forest!.
Bushwalking is very popular. Go walking on the many
tracks off the Bilbbulmun, which links Kalamunda to
Walpole and passes through the Donnelly on a loop.
The "Four Aces" pictured left is a very popular spot to visit to experience the magnificent Karri trees. Other great scenic spots that shouldn't be missed are "One Tree Bridge" and "Glenoran Pool". |
| Mill Tours - As one of the
few steam mills in Western Australia this mill offers a rare glimpse of
the past. Follow the progress of the logs from fallen trees to finished
timber. The mill is listed by the Heritage Council of Western Australia
and remains as it stood on closing day June 30, 1978. |

Fauna includes kookaburras which fly to the cottage's verandah rails waiting for food, plus don't miss "Birds on Parade!" where every day at 3pm, see our magpies, Port Lincoln parrots and kookaburras, arrive at the village store - God willing! |

Wildflowers abound
in the Donnelly valley over the spring
season (September - November), where the flora is abundant and
beautiful.
Featured to the right is a "Tree Hovea", that is native to Western Australia . Some of the varieties are native "Wisteria", "Coral Creeper", "Clematis" and the "Kangaroo Paw" |

The lake at Donnelly,
500 metres from the settlement
is a perfect place for swimming, fishing, relaxing
and enjoying a picnic or barbeque.
There's a paddler's pool and deeper water with a diving platform for the bigger visitors. |

For those seeking alternative active pursuits there are tennis courts, a flying fox and a low ropes course. The games room offers darts, pool & table tennis for hire. There is a TV & video in the games room but no TV or phones in the cottages. |
